OUr rush matting
All of our rush matting is hand woven and hand sewn in our workshop in Suffolk.
The rush matting is priced per square meter and all prices are inclusive of VAT but exclude delivery charges which are calculated on an order to order basis. There are two styles to choose from as well as optional extras such as additional binding, underlay, and a comprehensive and extremely professional measuring and fitting service
Traditional Rush Matting
Our traditional rush matting is woven in strips of approximately 8cm wide and 1.5cm thick. These strips are then sewn together to achieve the desired width and length of a rug or carpet. A rush binding is sewn on to the top of the two cut edges of a mat to prevent fraying. This binding is, also, available on all edges as an optional extra.

Heavy Weave Matting
Our heavy weave matting is a showstopper piece; woven in our 3-ply braid, it is hand sewn on its side to create a very thick rug or mat suited to feature rugs or doormats. At 4cm deep, this matting is not only beautiful but, also, incredibly robust and hard wearing.

Environmentally Friendly Underlay
Our underlay is 100% environmentally friendly and made out of recycled materials. It is breathable to allow air to reach and circulate around the base of the mat and it will not emit an odour or degrade should water reach it.
Our underlay is hand sewn to the base of a rug or carpet using a hessian string. This ensures a strong connection to the mat as well as strengthens the overall integrity of the rug or carpet.

Our Fitting Service
We offer an in house, professional and comprehensive fitting service. Customers can opt for us to come to their property to measure up for a new carpet, to measure and fit the finished product, or just to perform the final fitting. Charges are calculated on an order to order basis and vary depending on how many personnel are required, how long the measuring / fitting will take, where the property is and if an overnight stay is required.
All of the fitters are selected from our team of experienced weavers, and we do not subcontract any of the services so customers can be assured of a professional, experienced and reliable service.
